Learn How to Create Anchor Text

In this post I’m going to show you everything you need to know about how to create Anchor Text and how to create back links using WordPress and HTML.

Generally, as internet and network marketers we all want more free time, less stress, more money and to work fewer hours.

Read, that sentence again, doesn’t that sound good to you? It sure does to me!

It’s along those lines that I wrote this article today. Anchor Text and HTML when used correctly can create back links, help drive traffic, lead to more sales, money and free time.

But don’t worry, even if you don’t know how to use any HTML code  or (Hyper Text Markup Language), by the time you’re done with this article you’ll be creating anchor text like an old pro.

Once you get the hang of it, basic HTML is really pretty easy. Think of it this way, it’s kind of a simple math equation, you just plug your information into the equation to get the result your looking for.

Learning how to create Anchor Text to Create Back Links using HTML can make your life easier and increase your bank account.

You always want to use keywords in your anchor text to raise your rankings in the search engines and maximize your SEO.

To create a clickable link you use HTML code, your URL, and anchor text.

Anchor text is just the wording you want to be clickable.

But let’s take this one step at a time. For this example let’s say your in the network marketing industry and you want to drive traffic to your URL.

Let’s break this down like a math equation.

Now I know some of you are grumbling, “math, I hate math, no one told me there was going to be a test today….”  

Trust, me, it’s easy, just look at the tutorial and you’ll get it.

Let’s use one of my Websites I created for this example.  This will give me a backlink to that site and help me maximize my SEO.

My URL, or website address is http://BestHomeBusinessSolutions.com

The Anchor text (or Words that I want to be Clickable are  I Want To Know More About This Home Business

If you’re using WordPress or a similar platform to create backlinks it’s really pretty easy.  If not, I’ll show you how to do that too.

Here’s How To Create an Anchor Text Backlink Using WordPress

First I’ve got an easy step by step list to follow.  After that I’ve used some screen capture pages so you can see what I’m talking about in the how to list to create anchor text and backlinks.

1.  Select the text that you want to make your anchor text.  Here I’m using     I Want To Know More About The Home Business.  You Choose whatever keyword phrase or phrase you want to use;

2.  Highlight it;

3.  Then click on the link icon.

4.  Type in the URL you want to Link to;

Don’t worry that it doesn’t show the whole URL, it will be there.  You can check just to make sure.

5.  Press the Insert Button &

6.  Click on the Preview Button to make sure that the link in working right.

It should look like this    I Want To Learn About The Home Business and should be Clickable.  Click it to make sure it works right.

See that wasn’t so Bad Was It?

How To Create Anchor Text or Create Back Links Using HTML on Non WordPress Sites, or sites where you have to use HTLM Code.

Let’s start off with the HTML code you’re going to need to make this link clickable.

To make this work you would put your anchor text together like this

1. Always start out with <a

2. Next put in href

3. Then after the href you put an egual sign =

4.  Then Put in your URL in Parenthesis.  = “http://YourURL.com”

5.  Next put in an >

6. Put your keyword rich anchor text next =  here I’m Using    I Want To Know More About This Home Business

7.  Put an </a> at the end.

8.  Ok, when you put it all together it looks like this.

<a href=”http://BestHomeBusinessSolutions.com”>I Want To Know More About This Home Business</a>

9.  The finished product should look like this

I Want To Know More About This Home Business

10.   Always preview or double check your results, Creating Back Links using HTML can be a little tricky sometimes.

Click the HTML or Source Code Buttons, to switch over to the HTML Code itself and clean up any problems.

Make sure that your link looks like it should and that no stray code has been added.  This happens a lot, so be sure to check and remove the stray code.  But that’s more advanced and I’ll show you how to do that on another day.

Ok, that’s enough for today my friends.  You should now be able to create anchor text and create backlinks using HTML.
